Our Commitment to Security

Go Visitor Cards and Explorer Passes are products of Smart Destinations Inc., the nation’s leading provider of multi-attraction passes. We operate Go Visitor Cards in 11 destinations and Explorer Passes in 7 destinations across North America. We want you to feel secure when browsing our site and doing business with us online. The following security policies outline the ways in which we are committed to protecting your personal information and the ways in which you can control how we communicate with you.

Security

How we Ensure that your Transactions are Secure

We use SSL technology to make it virtually impossible for a third party to intercept any information you send to us. SSL stands for Secure Sockets Layer, a security protocol developed by Netscape for managing the security of online message transmission. SSL encrypts or scrambles any information sent from your browser to the server you are connected to.

Our Certification Authority (CA) is Thawte. CAs are independent bodies that are authorized to issue and sign digital certificates, which validate a server’s security. Thawte, launched in 1995, is one of the first companies to provide this service and has built a reputation of unrivalled trust over the years. While checking out you can click on thawte seacl to verify that our seal is valid.

Online purchases are statistically safer than using your credit card at a restaurant or department store. We believe online purchases are far safer than traditional credit card transactions because the information is immediately encrypted into a scrambled message that can only be decrypted by an authorized computer.

Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, your bank cannot hold you liable for more than $50.00 of fraudulent charges. If your bank does hold you liable for any of this $50.00, we will cover the entire liability for you, up to the full $50.00. We will only cover this liability if the unauthorized use of your credit card resulted through no fault of your own from purchases made at our site while using the secure server.

In the event of unauthorized use of your credit card, you must notify your credit card provider in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures.
